Jesus was anointed by a sinful woman.

1) our past

An adulterous woman was caught and presented to Jesus and Jesus was asked the decision on how to treat her, as Moses` law dictates stoning by death.

Jesus wanted people to be conscious of their own sins, as he said whoever who has not sinned will cast the first stone.

 

A Pharisee invited Jesus to his house.

The adulterous woman was changed by the love of Jesus.

She knew she had sent. She probably wanted to stop but did not have the ability to do so.

She fell deeply in love with jesus, and stopped her adulterous ways.

All of us have our own past, and today we repent and change.

Jesus understands and wants to help everyone to stop sinning.

 

2) the present

We ask Jesus for help.

The thing that can help us is knowing the love of Jesus.

Look at our lives, our sins. Focus on Jesus crucified on the cross.

 

3) how to express our love?

A) John 8.11

1 Corinthians 6:9

Repent and stop our sins, if we love Jesus.

1 Peter 4.2-3

B) we should put Jesus first.

The sinful woman used her tears to clean Jesus` feet and perfume to wipe His feet

1 Corinthians 6:20

The only way to change and stop sinning is to experience the love of Jesus.
