Live starts from our hearts

Enemies of our spirit will attack the heart

To make people feel unhappy and separate them from God

 

Satan use this disappointments to demotivate the heart. We have to use love to nourish our hearts.

When we have righteousness but no love, it will be autocratic

If there is Love without righteousness then the person will be spoilt.

 

How to maintain love?

1) refuse to hate. (11-15)

Cain hits his brother and eventually killed him. Cain sacrificed vegetables but Abel sacrificed the fat of the newborn lamb.

God prefer that of Abel 

1 John 3:12

If Cain did not continue to hate, he would not end up killing his brother

Hate grows into something serious. Hating someone is like killing someone

1 John 3. 13 to 15.

Christians cannot harbor hate without bad results.

Hate is like acid. It destroys the person who holds it

 

Our lives will be ruined. It is a choice that we do not hate

John says do not be like Cain.

Not that we are ignorant but we can choose to avoid toxic people. We do not need to hate them.

We need to think about the person we hate and try to attend to and clear that hate.

Disagree versus misunderstand

If a person disagrees due to misunderstanding, then we need to clear the misunderstanding. And pray for that person

 

2) practice to sacrifice (16-18)

We will have a healthy heart.

Giving, offering and tithing

Give until there is some small pain

Sacrificing will allow us to learn and practice to show love

We give without expecting anything.
