We have already done well. This year continue to move forward, turning our head towards God.
God gives us our spiritual gifts and we use it as a light for the world. Do good.
God will use us in little things to bless others.
When we give, we will also receive.
John 1.4
1) God is the source.
God also wants us to be the source of blessings to others.
Elijah made a poor widow and son. He asked for a drink and food. The widow said she will use the rest of the flour to make the last batch of bread, eat it and then die.
Elijah asked her to do it and let him eat first.
Elijah was fed as promised by God. Got fed him by crows everyday
Elijah asked a woman to serve him because after that she can be blessed as promised by God.
Eventually the fly and the oil did not run out and woman and son was fed every day
2) God is to be trusted
Look towards God, and trust he fully in Him.
Thomas the disciple did not believe that Jesus has resurrected and asked to see the wounds on jesus.
Jesus showed him as he knew that Thomas likes experience with Jesus. Just like us, God wants us to prove things to us and to teach us.
We know the nails are painful. But the more nails there are the more secured it will be.
Let the nails help us to be closer to Jesus.
3) God is the only answer.
Saul did not believe in God and persecuted Christians
God came to him and allowed Paul to work for him eventually
One time Paul was on the boat with 200 over people who were criminals
The boat was sinking and they wanted to kill the arrested people but Paul was spared.
Paul did not die he had further work to do for God. Everyone on the boat was saved.
4) God is what we want and need.
We want to be near God
We seek God for blessings but we must truly trust him like our father, one that we need and wait upon.
