The story of Jabez. It has a lot of significance for us Christians although he was mentioned in just a few lines in the Bible. He was more respectable amongst his brothers. His mother called him Jabez because she suffered a lot of pain when she gave birth to him.
His name meant a lot of pain but it doesn`t mean we will allow it to affect our lives.
Shows that we should not emphasize or pay too much attention on certain things especially the negatives. It is because it will expand and affect our lives.
Jabez did not let the name affect his life.
He knows that he cannot change the past. He knows he can do things to improve his future.
We should follow how Jabez pray to God. It shows that God is there to forgive our iniquities and give us a good future.
Whatever we may have done wrong in the past, God can allow us to start over again.
Jabez asked God for a new life. He does not want to live in the past.
If any of us is in some kind of trouble at the moment, we should follow his footsteps to disown the past and to ask God for a new beginning.
Jabez started off by asking God to bless his life.
We can ask God to lead us in what we do. Whatever we ask God if He answers we thank Him. If God says no, we thank Him as well.

Jabez also pray to God to expand his boundaries. Refers to having more responsibilities, spell as having a bigger location to take care of. Jabez is not afraid of becoming more tired with more work, and having more responsibilities.
We should learn from Jabez, and have the same kind of attitude. If God asks us to do something we are not familiar on, we should have the attitude to dare to try.
Having an open mind to try our new things and new ways to serve God, we may Indian be able to bless even more people with our work.
Sometimes situations may push us to change and do we do not want to do it in the first place.
There is a profit in everything we do for God.
If we do not have ability, we ask God to push us.
We do not want to be sorry for something that we did not do. Ask God to give us the courage.
The third prayer of Jabez is for God to be behind him to support him all the way.
To walk with God all the time and he knows that if he is close to God then nothing can stop him. God is with us all the time, wherever we are. But sometimes we do not feel it ourselves.
Do quiet time daily, pray fervently and we will experience God with us.
