It`s Friday was Good Friday when Jesus was crucified on the cross.
He was crucified since 9:00 a.m. and passed out about 3:00 p.m.
He was on the cross for the excruciating 6 hours, and before that he was already whipped by the guards.
Turn the other convicts before Jesus was to be crucified, none of them were whipped like Jesus before.
After that Jesus was kept in the tombstone of a wealthy man called Joseph.
The third day which is the Sunday Jesus resurrected and tombstone door was opened. After that Jesus appeared in front of many of his disciples during the next 40 days.
First of all, the resurrected Jesus is not a spirit, because a spirit cannot eat food.
But is also not like the human body that cannot walk through the walls because Jesus could have meals and also walk through the walls.
No humans have ever resurrected from death. It should only be God that can be resurrected from death.
The first person that Jesus appeared to was Mary Magdalene, at the tombstone.
After that Jesus appeared to a group of women who went to the tombstone to visit him. Also to the disciple Peter.
In the afternoon he appeared to two disciples and also to 10 disciples in the upper room.
On the Sunday after Easter Jesus appeared to 11 people, including Thomas.
That Jesus appeared again to seven disciples, followed by 120 disciples, and then 500 disciples.
However, Jesus did not appear to everyone.
Call Dad Jesus appeared to probably has some kind of importance.
In today`s discussion we will look at his appearance to people one by one, a total of five to six people in all.
1.First person that Jesus made was Mary magdalene. Mark 16:9
Was a woman who seven evil spirits in her and Jesus was the one who exorcized her. Before that she left a bad life working as a prostitute but she repented and changed.
When we have something to say to people we usually pick the person that`s closest to our heart. Mary was the person who loved Jesus the most. She`s the one who followed Jesus along the way with the disciples.
You also use her hair to buy Jesus feet with the expensive perfume. When Jesus was crucified on the cross she was there even though the disciples were gone.
Also that had the tomb before he was buried in that morning. The person who love Jesus most will get to meet Him.
2. Peter who denied Jesus 3 times
1 Corinthians 15:4-5
39 Jesus for three times he was very very sad and cried, he wanted a chance to redeem what he had done. He asked Jesus to give him a chance. The lesson for us here is that if we do wrong we should try to redeem what we had done like Peter.
Jesus will always give us a chance.
3. Thomas, who wanted to see evidence to believe. John 20:27-28
Thomas is a suspicious disciple as he doesn`t believe things easily. Attend disciples who met Jesus told him that they met him, he refused to believe. He says that in order to make him believe he wants to touch the wound and see that they are real.
Jesus is not against people like this. People who want to ask and learn more. A Christian who behaves this way is someone who is eager to learn and always looking out. Jesus prefers someone like this then someone who don`t care at all even to ask.
A person who wants to know more about Jesus will meet Jesus.
4. Jacob, a close person who opened his heart. 1 Corinthians 15:7
Jacob is the son that comes after Jesus.
He is an introvert and although he listen and know about Jesus teachings he did not express it. After Jesus appeared to him, change to become one of the most important people in the spreading of the Gospel in Jerusalem. Also one of the top apostles.
5. Saul, the persecutor of Jesus.
1 Corinthians 15:8-9
He persecuted Christians and do not believe in Jesus. He catches the believers and put them in jail. He`s an extreme person but if he sees the truth he will believe. If not he persecutes. Jesus appeared to him, Saul became one of the most important people in the spread of Christianity.
