The day of Victory on Palm Sunday
Mark 11:1-9
The use of a donkey, is showing it is not a war.
Using Palm leaves and shouting hosanna is a sign of welcoming Jesus into our lives for all our life.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
There are four victories from Jesus` coming
1. God wins over our hearts
-we see Jesus serving God by helping the weak and healing the blind..
Jesus chose the blind man as he had faith.
Jesus visited Zachaeus, a tax collector. It shows that Jesus accepts everyone from all walks of life.
When we have Jesus in us, we will have victory over people when we speak with them about the gospel.
2. God is victorious over sin
- the picture of light shining into the tombstone.. shows we have a victory too as we pass through the hardships that Jesus has gone through.
Once we pass through the fire in our lives, there are many changes.
I was thinking is like water that has gone through fire and comes out as steam.
Our thinking has power.
We are like gold that has gone through firing and becoming pure and better.
3. God has victory over our hearts.
- when we look at the donkey, it looks stubborn but people who rears them says they are not.
Compact to the horse that is very fast with long legs, the donkey is slow and always stops to make sure that everything is right before moving on.
The disciple took the donkey with its mother. Matthew 21:7
Shows that in our Walk of Life we have someone to guide us as well.
4. Victory in that we have the protection from God.
Ezekiel 44:1-2
The door in the wall of Jerusalem is now closed, after Jesus has passed through it.
Jesus promises to come again to receive us.
