One day the sun decided to ask for half of what he was entitled and left home.
It was not something that his father wanted, but the father wanted his son`s heart.
Just like God who wants our heart.
After a while, all the money was spent and he had no friends left. He was hungry and worked for a farm and had to eat the food of the pigs.
When we are separated with God we go down like this son.
The son remembered that at his father`s farm, the workers have a lot to eat.
The sufferings let him back to his father. Just like for Christians and God will take them back.
He returned home to apologize to his father and ask to work in the farm.
The love of the father is like the love of God for us.
The father knew he did not punish him but forgive him. The love of the father forgave him for what that he had done.
When we know we are in the wrong we need to open our mouth to confess to God. God is merciful and will always be ready to forgive us.
When the father saw him he ran towards the Sun and welcome to him the son wanted to confess by the father was too happy and the father just forgave him.
When Jesus was hammered on the cross, he has got to forgive them as they do not know what they are doing Jesus has the mercy to forgive us all.
How to forgive like God? (real forgiveness)
1) forgiveness with no bitterness v. 32
It`s not good to be bitter it is bad for our life for our spirit and well-being.
2) forget versus recall v.30
God forgives and forgets unlike the elder brother who was upset God makes no effort to remember our past sins. Peter asked Jesus how many times should he forgive people. is seven times enough ?Jesus says seven times seventy. this shows that there is no need to count.
3) Uplift not discredit
Help the person to stand on their own.

4) look forward and not look backwards
Pray for those who do us wrong
5) grace, and not to punished by law

Look towards Jesus. Follow His example to give forgiveness to others. Due to love, God forgives us. So we have to forgive others who wronged us too.
