No matter what happens tomorrow, God is with us.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
From Paul to Thessalonians
We need to leave our lives as close to Jesus as possible
Jesus is coming
If Jesus comes next week what should we do?
What kind of life should we have?
Paul wants the Thessalonians to be ready all the time
Are we ready when Jesus comes?
1) (Get out of darkness)
V 3.
We should not be off the night on darkness
As Christians disciples of Jesus we have to be in the light.
We have responsibilities
We have gifts that God has given we need to use it to further God`s Kingdom
We are the children of the light
We have responsibilities and roles to do we have to aim and Target to bring more people to Jesus and to do God`s work and mission
We have to do God`s work fervently
Our hearts must be there
2) V.8 (do not be drunk)
-we should not be drunk, can be unaware and lose our sense of sensibility and worth
Paul wants us to be sensible not affected and drunk with materialism
I`m drunk by the bitterness of events
We should not be affected by things that are not important
1 Peter 4:7
Ecclesiastes 10: 10
We must be alert and aware of things around us, happenings in the world
When we are on social media we need to be alert and know what`s right or wrong
We need to be on watch read the Bible stay close to God and ask God to help us
We do not know what we will meet when we wake up but we have God with us
3) use our faith 2 Cor 5:7
Believe our lives through faith and not use our eyes to see
The faith allows us to leave our lives and trusting that God will bless and protect us
John 11:4
Once we believe we will see the greatness of God
4) use love to protect our world
Satan always try to break us by saying no one loves us
In our difficulties we have got our family and church
Love can protect our lives our love to serve God
Love y`all enemies and they will eventually lose
1 John 4:18
We love Jesus we love our church we love our work for God and we love to go to church
5) we have hope in Jesus
We use our faith to live our life in the world we have hope eternally in God
We will never fail or lose when we have hope in God
V.10. we have to be awake and not be asleep
V.11. we have to encourage each other and build each other up
