Before Reaching the big day
Matthew 24:44-25:23
Jesus lived on earth for 33 years, and two thousand years ago was crucified.
After that , Jesus rose and appeared before all of His disciples. He told them
His will, that is, for them to spread the gospel.
And Jesus will come back again, one more time.
One hundred and twenty disciples gathered on top of the room.
After the passing of 50 days (Pentecost Day) the one hundred and twenty disciples
all spoke in foreign languages when they were baptised by the Holy Spirit.
That was the beginning of the church.
From then till now, all the believers are walking on this earth, serving Him, waiting for Him to come again.
We all have to be prepared for that day.
The day He comes will be celebrated by all the believers.
For the non-believers, it will be a nightmare. The doors will all be closed to them.
Warning about His Coming
Matthew 24:43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming,
he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.
Matthew 24: 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Three Stories from Jesus
1) Matthew 24: 45-50 ( About the Slaves)
Servant bullies the others thinking that the owner will not come back. Do unto others
what you want others to do to you.
2) 10 Virgins Matthew 25:1-13
Tells us we have to be ready all the time. The oil here refers to The Holy Spirit.
Shows how close we are to God, and that we will be fresh and ready for the second coming.
Do not be like a mobile phone with no power bank. The lamp should be lit up.
3) the 3 workers and their master (Bags of Gold) Matthew 25:14-29
God gives us different types of talents. Some have 5, some have 3, some have just one.
It does not matter how many we have. They are given according to our ability.
We have to use the talent to further God`s kingdom.
Lessons to learn
1) We have to stay close to God all the time, like a mobile phone with a power bank.
2) Know your talent and we must use it to further the Kingdom of God
3) Help your friends to achieve their goals as well.
