The spies that were sent to Jericho to check out the inhabitants of the Promised land, ended up in the home of Rahab.

Only Caleb and Joshua say that they can overcome the enemies. Moses prayed to God for forgiveness and God let the

Israelites walk around the land for 40 years. Those that were over 20 years and above all died. Moses was really old and he

passed over to Joshua.

 

 

The spies hid in Rahab`s house. To conquer Jericho, they had to walk round the wall once for 7 days. On the 7th day

the walls of Jericho fell.The only house that was saved was Rahab`s house with the red sash.

Rahab hid the spies on the roof and kept the spies away from the authorities. Before they left, they had an agreement.

Rahab has heard about God. She asked for the safety of her and her family.

 

 

Lesson: Faith needs courage.

1. Decided to be on the side of God, even though has never met or seen God before.

2. Supports God`s Servers

3. Believed in the victory of Israel

4. Sees the greatness of God and understands Gad as the creator   Acts 17:24

5. Is the testimony for the great things that God had done. It encourages the Jews

6. Trust that her method will succeed

7. Loves her family very much, and asked for the safety of her family as well.

8. She was a prostitute (her past) but now she is a new person   Matthew 1;5

A repented person is a changed person and the past is over.
