God calling out to us. (John 3:16-17)
Calling of God:
1. Call out to everyone so as to be saved.
2. Call us to follow His will. (Acts 16:30-31) Apostle Paul called out to God when he was jailed. God created an earthquake and freed Paul
from the jail. The guard in the jail was worried that all the jailed people would escape., but Paul reassured him that they were all there.
The guard was saved from the problem, and it mirrors the "save" presented by Paul.
The 3 things we may do when God calls us?
- run away from God
- hide from God
- ignore God`s calling
When Jesus was in this world, He called out the 12 disciples and spent time with them, even after He was risen.
Jesus is around us now too. Always telling and asking us, do we love Him?
If we love God, will we follow His will and do what He asks us? God will always give us the work that we can handle.
People in this world like to run their own lives according to how they like it.
Example in Thailand there was a concert for 2,000 people and a total of 50,000 people turned up. Everyone does things for their
own fun- drugs, liquor, partying. This is why God needs us Christians to proclaim the good news for Him.
1. God asked Jonah to spread the word and do His work.
2. Jonah ran away and ended up in the stomach of a whale.
3. God saved Jonah from the whale and after that Jonah continued God`s work. Many people in Nineveh repented and believed in God.
Because of Covid-19, Satan managed to close churches, but churches went online! It became a blessing in disguise as it speeds up and spreads the
Gospel to the whole world.
Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Romans 11:29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
Questions
1. Why is God`s calling important?
2. What does God want in our lives?
